Just bought a set of DZ1 Exklusiv wheels for my Calibra turbo. At the front I will use 215/40-17 tyres for my 8.5 inch wide wheels but for the rear wheels I dont know which tires I should use' 235/40-17 or 245/40-17? ET offset is 30 on both and rear so on the front wheels I will use 15mm spacers. |

Hy,
You mußte know, the Spezifikation for Cross Section is made in percent according the wide of the tire. It means, if you take a tire which is more wide, the cross section must go lower, so the rolling circum ference will be the same
So if you User 215 / 40 on front, You might use 245/35 on back |

I would recommend you to drive four similar wheels with four similar tyres. |

Exactly. Otherwise the 4x4 will be damaged sooner or later.

Not 100% exactly. I confirm that it is necessary to use 4 similar rims with 4 similar tires, BUT the rim offset doesn´t have to be the same.
You just have to know the rolling circumference has to be identical, and the offset has no effect on that, so you can drive a different offset.
To come back to your specification: you have an offset of 30mm and would use 15mm spacers an the front? Why? That means you have an offset of 15mm front and 30mm back. Did you have some work on the Body or is it oiriginal?
You can search for a link to estimate your rolling circumference, but the better way would be using the same dimension as I described at first.
Regards. |
